We have a bus

A massive thank you to everyone that has supported us in our fundraising for this bus, we came just short of our fundraising target so the directors would like to extend their thanks to Martin & Sue who fronted the purchase of the bus. We desperately needed extra transport and a mini bus was the obvious choice, we saw this bus at the Ministry of Defence Sales Depot and its was ideal. With livery added by Pete Chappell the Happy Days Bus is on the road. We do still need to use staff cars but the bus will cut down on travel times dramatically. We currently have volunteer drivers until Martin can go in for his D1 licence to drive it himself.

School Strike Action

As some schools prepare to strike on Tuesday 1st October we would just like to inform all parents that Happy Days will be open as normal.

We will be running the normal Breakfast and After School Club Service and offering full day care for those children whose schools are taking strike action.

We advise all parents to contact their schools to find out if they are taking strike action, then contact us direct via text on 07432482737 to book your child's Holiday Club place as spaces are limited.

Sessions for the 1st Oct Holiday Club are:

7am-6pm=£20

&

9am-3pm=£11

If you are interested in one of our places but have not yet registered with us don't worry, registration is free and you are not tied into any contracts. Once registered you can use Marshland Happy Days as and when you need us with no retaining fees. Forms are available at your child's school or by clicking the Registration link to the right of this screen.

Kind regards

The London Marathon

As most of you are aware Marshland Happy Days has chosen The Rainbow Trust as their Charity to support. We have so far raised £750 for the terminally ill children that the charity support & in 10 more sleeps Martin will be running the London Marathon to help raise even more money for them. Martin is also running the Edinbrugh Marathon & the Yorkshire Marathon this year. All moneys raised from the clubs Easter Raffle have gone into the fund but if any of you would like to sponsor Martin for his Marathon efforts please follow the link HERE. Unlike other donation sites Virgin give 100% of the donation straight to the charity. Martin needs to raise £1000 before next Sunday so if you can donate please dig deep, all daonations large & small will be greatly appreciated.

Martin Will be running the London Marathon in fancy dress too, after running the Lincoln 10k last weekend in the suit he is now praying for a cold front next week as during Lincoln he lost 3kg & nearly dehydrated. Its all for charity though & just think of all the cake he will be able to eat after. :o)

New Additions for Spring

Last week our Eggspert (Mr Quinn) brought us some eggs, we carefully put the eggs in an incubator to keep them warm until they hatched. After 3 weeks the chicks started to hatch. We now have 5 chicks in the club, they will stay with us for another week until they get too big for their home & have to go outside.
